The Stock Market Club is designed to help students analyze and learn about stocks through virtual simulation. We will use virtual cash through a platform called Marketwatch.com. Virtual cash is traded and invested in real-time and studets research and discuss decisions and market conditions that affect the stock prices. Students work individually on their portfolio. Each session is run by a student (mainly the club president) who presents a lesson about investing in the stock market, reading and interpreting graphs and stock charts. Students also discuss certain types of securities and patterns as well as personal projections.
