The THS Robotics Club gives students the opportunity to design, build and operate robots in preparation for the annual Botball® competition. While the ostensible objective is to win the competition, the benefits of participation are far wider reaching. Students engaged in Botball® will learn the programming language of the supplied robot controller. While developing their robots, the students will learn resource management and optimization as they develop the instruction sequences that accomplish various tasks most efficiently. The complicated tasks will be divided among team members for detail solutions that must be subsequently integrated. This will develop valuable cooperative team working skills.
Usually meets Thursdays after school in Room A-25.
