CRITERIA FOR ENTRANCE

Trumbull Resident; Bilingual/E.L.L. Special needs for mild Speech/Language; At risk Title I Director’s Discretion.

The Preschool Education in Trumbull Program is a language-based program that is committed to providing English Language Learner (ELL) students the opportunity to develop pre-academic skills while acquiring English language proficiency. Through intriguing activities that elicit conversation and collaborative learning, students develop a passion for learning not only the English language, but readiness concepts which are a foundation for future academic ventures. The student’s eligibility is determined through a developmental screening process. The 4-year-old group meets Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 12:50-3:20 p.m and the 3-year-old group meets Tuesday & Thursday from 12:50 p.m. - 3:20 p.m. In addition to school readiness activities, a weekly language lesson is provided by a speech/language pathologist.
