Sexual Harassment Prevention Education for Teachers & Paraeducators - September, 2020
Consistent with requirements of the State of Connecticut (CT Public Act 19-93), the Trumbull Board of Education mandates sexual harassment prevention education for all employees. Teachers and paraeducators should participate in this sequence:
- View TPS teachers Adeline Marzialo, Nora Infante, & Tammy Russo discussing eight "Could This Be Sexual Harassment?" scenarios. (15 minutes)
- View the CHRO video "Sexual Harassment at Work" and take the quiz at the end. (19 minutes)
- View the CHRO video "Sexual Harassment Laws" and take the quiz at the end. (12 minutes)
- View Dr. Budd, TPS Title IX Coordinator, discussing the eight "Could This Be Sexual Harassment?" scenarios. (10 minutes)
- View the CHRO video "Round Table Discussion" (38 minutes)
- Read TPS BOE Policy 4118.112, "Sex Discrimination and Sexual Harassment in the Workplace." (10 minutes)
- View Dr. Budd discussing key elements of the TPS Policy. (8 minutes)
- Complete the Self-Reflection Form to document your participation and ask any follow-up questions. (5 minutes)
The Trumbull Board of Education recognizes the need for continuing professional development and renewal for all professional staff and commits itself to this effort. Through planned, continuous, and systematic effort, teaching and learning in the Trumbull Public Schools will continue to improve as educators develop their skills, knowledge, and abilities.
