If you are registering your child/children there are many forms that need to be filled out prior to registering. All forms are linked below and can be printed out or you may pick these forms up at any of the Trumbull Public Schools. All student registration is now done at the Assistant Superintendents Office - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! 

If you have a school related questions, e.g., orientations, scheduling, etc. , you can call your respective school directly. However, if you have questions on the registration or residency paperwork, you should call the Assistant Superintendent's Office (203-452-4348).

Registration hours are M-F from 8:30 - 11:00. The Assistant Superintendent's office is located in the Long Hill Administration Building 6254 Main St. Trumbull, CT 06611.

Children born on January 1, 2013 or prior are eligible to attend kindergarten for the 2017 - 2018 school year.

Records Needed at Time of Registration

  • Personal Identification of parent/guardian (e.g., driver’s license, passport)
  • Birth Certificate of child (official copy)
  • Homeowners
    • Appendix A-Residency Verification Form with only Page 1 fully completed

    • Copy of Property Field Card (available at Town Tax Assessor's Office, Town Hall- no fee) and a current utility bill (water, electric, gas, or sewer) OR a copy of current property tax bill and a current utility bill (water, electric, gas, or sewer)

  • Non-Homeowners (renters, families living with relatives, or any non-permanent situations)

    • Appendix A-Residency Verification Form with Pages 1, 2, and 3 fully completed and notarized

    • Current lease/rental agreement signed by the landlord with landlord's contact number

    • Two current utility bills (electric, gas, water or cable)

    • Connecticut driver's license or a passport

    • Page 4 Affidavit of Property Owner/Landlord Application completed and signed by landlord

  • Guardianship (Homeowner or Non-Homeowner)
    • Complete steps above for either Homeowner or Non-Homeowner status

    • Appendix B -Form #1- Parent's Affidavit Child Not Living with Either Parent, signed and notarized

    • Appendix B -Form #2 -Guardian's Affidavit Child Not Living with Either Parent, signed and notarized

    • Copy of the court order or appointing authority document

  • Medical/Health

Food Allergy Policy

nutsThe Trumbull Board of Education has passed a new policy regarding the Management of Food Allergies in the schools. This policy affects food being brought in for curriculum and celebrations. This and all policies can be found on the Policies page of this website.

Emergency Notification

In the event of an emergency, school delay, closure or early dismissal, notification is made to the following:

Ø  Radio Stations:WEBE 108 FM (107.9), 600 AM, 99.9 FM

Ø  TV Stations : WTNH – Channel 8, WNBC – Channel 6 and 30, WFSB –  Channel 3

    In addition, the information will be posted on the TPS home page and on Twitter.

Health Forms

healthEach pupil, before initial enrollment in the Trumbull Public Schools shall have had a health assessment. In addition, each pupil enrolled in Trumbull Public Schools shall have a health assessment at least once in each three year interval: in grade three, in grade six, and in grade nine.
