Procedures For Bus Stop Changes/Concerns
As a result of input from parents and the community, all requests for bus stop changes and/or concerns regarding bus transportation must be made in writing. The Transportation Action Report form can be filed on-line or downloaded in pdf format. It is also available in the schools and at the Transportation Department at 6254 Main Street, Trumbull.
Traditionally, the Transportation Department receives hundreds of requests. A request or concern submitted in writing will be acknowledged, after receipt, within 48 hours. With the need to stabilize routes at the start of the new school year and the attention to detail required, please be aware that it may take up to several weeks before some problems can be resolved and changes implemented. Emergencies and safety concerns will be handled immediately.
Prior to submitting a request for a bus stop change, please refer to our district’s transportation policy with regard to compliance (see link above). As a reminder, most bus stops are located at the closest intersecting street to your home or neighborhood cluster stop, unless a bus stop location is addressed in Section III, Special Conditions.
Opt Out of Bus Transportation
Please complete and submit this form to opt out of bus service for you student. Changes can be made at any time during the school year, and students can usually be added or removed from bus routes within a few days of submitting a request. If you have more than one child in the school district, kindly submit a separate form for each student. If you would like to opt out of transportation, please fill out this form....
