The 2020 - 2021 Application and Information will be posted soon!

The Trumbull Public Schools participate in the National School Lunch Program where families who qualify can receive free meals or reduced price meals. Family Applications will be distributed on the first day of school to every child in the Trumbull Public Schools. The application is also available here with the directions for filling it out. Only one application per family is required.

Note that parents need to fill out a new application every year . Please note this will only be good for the current school year! A new application is required each year.

If you qualify for free school meals, you might also qualify for 
SNAP (formerly called Food Stamps). SNAP helps people buy food for themselves and their families. SNAP benefits are issued each month on plastic debit cards. You can use SNAP benefits to buy food at major supermarkets, neighborhood grocery stores and some farmers’ markets authorized to accept SNAP.  

Persons with disabilities or limited English proficiency needing assistance with applications or other food service related information should call the Food Services office at 203-452-4500 for assistance.

Food Allergy Policy

bowl of nutsThe Trumbull Board of Education has passed a new policy regarding the Management of Food Allergies in the schools. This policy affects food being brought in for curriculum and celebrations. This and all policies can be found on the Policies page of this website.

Emergency Notification

In the event of an emergency, school delay, closure or early dismissal, notification is made to the following:

Ø  Radio Stations:WEBE 108 FM (107.9), 600 AM, 99.9 FM

Ø  TV Stations : WTNH – Channel 8, WNBC – Channel 6 and 30, WFSB –  Channel 3

    In addition, the information will be posted on the TPS home page and on Twitter.

Medical Symbol for health moduleEach pupil, before initial enrollment in the Trumbull Public Schools shall have had a health assessment. In addition, each pupil enrolled in Trumbull Public Schools shall have a health assessment at least once in each three year interval: in grade three, in grade six, and in grade nine.
