The Trumbull Public Schools participate in the National School Lunch Program where families who qualify can receive free meals or reduced price meals (for breakfast $.30 at (Trumbull High School Only) and for lunch $.40 per day). Family Applications will be distributed on the first day of school to every child in the Trumbull Public Schools. The application is also available here with the directions for filling it out. Only one application per family is required.

SNAP
If you qualify for free school meals, you might also qualify for 
SNAP (formerly called Food Stamps). SNAP helps people buy food for themselves and their families. SNAP benefits are issued each month on plastic debit cards. You can use SNAP benefits to buy food at major supermarkets, neighborhood grocery stores and some farmers’ markets authorized to accept SNAP.  Download Information

To save you time and effort, the information you gave on your Free and Reduced Price School Meals/Milk Application may be shared with other programs for which your children may qualify.  For the following programs, we must have your permission to share your information.  Please download the form and sign for those additional benefits if you are interested in receiving them.  By signing for the benefits, you are certifying that you are the parent/guardian of the child(ren) for whom the application is being made.  Note: Sending in this form will not change whether your children get free or reduced price meals or free milk.

Food Allergy Policy

nutsThe Trumbull Board of Education has passed a new policy regarding the Management of Food Allergies in the schools. This policy affects food being brought in for curriculum and celebrations. This and all policies can be found on the Policies page of this website.

Emergency Notification

In the event of an emergency, school delay, closure or early dismissal, notification is made to the following:

Ø  Radio Stations:WEBE 108 FM (107.9), 600 AM, 99.9 FM

Ø  TV Stations : WTNH – Channel 8, WNBC – Channel 6 and 30, WFSB –  Channel 3

    In addition, the information will be posted on the TPS home page and on Twitter.

Health Forms

healthEach pupil, before initial enrollment in the Trumbull Public Schools shall have had a health assessment. In addition, each pupil enrolled in Trumbull Public Schools shall have a health assessment at least once in each three year interval: in grade three, in grade six, and in grade nine.
