Trumbull is located in southern Connecticut not far from Long Island Sound. Approximately 6,737 children attend the Trumbull Public Schools. Trumbull's proximity to Bridgeport Harbor offers a deep water port with access to international shipping; the airports of New York, Hartford and Bridgeport open the airways to cities everywhere; and major highways (Routes 95, 15, 8 and 84) allow for numerous trucking routes.

Trumbull is right in the heart of cultural activities, such as museums, theaters, concerts and major sporting events; educational activities at all levels, and various forms of recreational excitement from fishing to golf and boating to snow skiing. Trumbull is also the home of the 1989 Little League World Champions.

There are two public libraries, a senior center, eighteen recreational parks plus school areas comprising a total of 1,198 acres. Municipal facilities include an 27-hole championship golf course, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, two outdoor pools and one indoor pool, one natural swimming area, and baseball and soccer fields. Three private clubs provide additional tennis courts and a pool. Trumbull also has an active arts council and sponsors an annual arts festival, free outdoor concerts throughout the summer, and a town youth association.
