The Writing Center, located in Lower Media Center, opens daily at 7:00 a.m. and is open after school by appointment. If you would like me to review your paper, email the piece to nettingj@trumbullps.org, or stop by the Writing Center to set up a writing conference. My daily schedule is posted on the door of Lower Media Center, as well as on the web site. I am looking forward to assisting you with all of your writing needs.

The Trumbull High School Writing Center strives to foster a sense of community among writers, welcoming the experienced and the inexperienced; the lovers of writing and those who have learned to write to get by. We encourage you to seek support for your writing, as well as to share it with the world. Our Writing Center is a place where the writer drops in rather than “dropping off.” As Stephen North stated in his book Idea of a Writing Center: “…our job is to produce better writers, not better writing” (76).
Program
We are here to help you with all aspects of the writing process, from drafting through proofreading. Soliciting ideas from you, we aim to help you to recognize your strengths and your errors so that you can self-correct, while assisting you in becoming independent revisers and editors. The Trumbull High School Writing Center has as its immediate goal to aid students in developing writing skills across the disciplines. Our long-range goal is to encourage you in a lifetime of writing.
