Exit Criteria

Students exiting TAS will do so only at the start of a new school year or at the beginning of a new semester. Students meeting the following criteria will be eligible to exit the program:

• Grades of "C" or better in all academic courses.

• Evidence of student work must be supported by student assessment data to be reviewed by Trumbull High School Administration..

• No disciplinary infractions the marking period prior to anticipated exit.

• Students wishing to exit the program must write a letter to the Dean of Students and the Chairperson of Alternative Education stating their desire to return to Trumbull High School and must highlight positive changes they have made while enrolled at TAS.

• Students wishing to exit TAS must be recommended to do so by the TAS staff as well as Trumbull High Administration and serve a probationary period upon reentry to Trumbull High School. Contract will address behavioral and academic expectations through the end of the school year.

• Satisfy attendance requirements.
