Trumbull is proud of its new $8.5 million Agriscience Center. Located at 536 Daniels Farm Road, next to Trumbull High School, the facility services students in grades 9 through 12 who are enrolled in the Regional Agriscience Program. Included in this facility are a Bio-Technology Lab, Natural Resources/Environmental Science Lab, Small Animal Lab and Grooming Room, Food Science Lab, Floral Design Lab and Sales Area, Computer Lab, Library Media Center, Greenhouse, Ag Mechanics Lab, and a Multi-Purpose Room, as well as standard classrooms. Adjacent to the Agriscience Center is a “working farm” including a variety of animals.

The Agriscience Program is a four-year program that combines the core academic curriculum with classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students are offered a unique opportunity to explore careers in a comprehensive agriculture science and technology education program, consisting of the following elements:

Classroom instruction Computer room
designed to prepare students for the emerging agricultural science and technology field. The broad based curriculum incorporates cutting edge technologies, rigorous academics, current labor market information and career decision-making skills.

Laboratory experiences
Labproviding hands-on activities relating to the mastery of skills in agriculture mechanic technology, animal and plant science technology (including microbiology, biochemical and genetic disciplines), natural resource technology (including land, air and/or water laboratories), and computer applications.


Student leadership training through FFA, a national student leadership organization for students studying agriculture. Skills include teamwork, organization, career decision-making, and oral and written communications.

All students enrolled in the Trumbull Regional Agriscience Program are considered full-time Trumbull High School students, and they may participate in all THS extracurricular activities, clubs, honor programs, etc.

Over 90% of the graduates from the program have gone on to numerous higher educational institutions such as Penn State, UConn, Rutgers, Wentworth, etc.
