MADISON MIDDLE SCHOOL PTA

Give Back” Programs

A number of organizations “give back” to local schools through easy-to-use programs.  Here is information about two programs the PTA hopes to help Madison benefit from. . No parent is expected to participate in EVERY program but we hope everyone will participate in at least ONE!

Box Tops for Education:See entire list! (pdf)

It's time to get all your boxtops in to school!  They need to be counted and submitted for school credit this month.  Please have them in the school by October 26th.  There are deposit boxes in the office and as you come into the  school on the right side.  Every dollar helps support your kids.    Thank you!

This program earns Madison money for EACH boxtop sent in.  Participating brands include General Mills, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Yoplait, Ziploc Brand, Nature Valley, Campbell's, Chef's Kettle, Franco-American, Goldfish, Healthy Request, Pace, Pepperidge Farm, Prego, SpaghettiOs, Swanson, V8and Cascadian Farms.  For a complete list, go to www.boxtops4education.com, , www.labelsforeducation.com  or see the back of this flyer. Just send your boxtops into Madison in an envelope marked “BOXTOPS” and have your child put it in the drop boxes located in the cafeteria and front lobby.  Madison can also earn money from your on-line shopping. Log on to www.boxtops4education.com join the booster club and shop at your favorite store.  Over 200 stores give back to the schools a percentage of purchases made.

City Line Florist:

This program “gives back” 5% of every purchase made at City Line Florist.  Just mention Madison Middle School as your designated non-profit organization and City Line takes care of the rest.  Their phone number is 378-7375 (local) and 800-719-7673 (toll free).  Pass the word to friends and family to use City Line (make sure then mention Madison) and Madison will benefit.

Target Take Charge of Education:

Through the Take Charge of Education program, Target donates an amount equal to 1% of Target Visa and Target Card purchases made at Target and Target.com, and 1/2% of Target Visa purchases made elsewhere, to the school of your choice.   Go to http://target.com/target_group/schools/search_school.jhtml to sign up and designate Madison Middle School (our number is 39275) as your school of choice.

Big Y Education Express:

Shoppers purchase designated Education Express items with their Big Y card and earn points for the school of their choice. You can sign up with the cashier right at checkout, on-line, or visit the Customer Service Desk for an application.  Your school’s name will appear on your register receipt each time you shop, along with the number of points earned for your school on that shopping trip.  When your school has accumulated enough points, they can be exchanged for FREE equipment such as computers, books, sports equipment, and more!  Sign up at http://www.bigy.com/education/edexp_frame.php and designate Madison (our number is 5757) as your school of choice.

Printer Cartridges and Cell Phone Recycling:

Through Kash for Kids, schools can earn cash for recycling empty ink jet, laser printer cartridges and digital cell phones - $2.50 for cell phones, $2.00 for ink jet and around $6.00 for each laser printer cartridge!   Students can drop printer cartridges and cell phones in the drop boxes located in the cafeteria and front lobby.
