| Faculty | Dear Parents and Friends of Middlebrook School,
Welcome! Thank you for visiting Middlebrook School's media center web
page! Use the links to explore the latest library news and to locate the
information you need. The Middlbrook School Library will be a busy place this year! Kindergarten, first, and second grades will visit the library every other week for an activity that connects with their classroom themes or a lesson about the library. In grades three through five, students will utitlize the numerous library resources in connection to their grade level curriculum. All grades will complete at least one research project that is directly related to their curriculum. Each month the library will be encouraging the students’ responsible use of library materials through the “Overdue Library Books Collection Week.” During the first week of every month students are reminded to return any books with a due date for the prior month. For example, during November’s “Overdue Library Books Collection Week” books with October due dates needed to be returned to the library. The classes with no overdue library books will have their name announced over the loudspeaker during morning announcements. At the close of the week, those classes earn a “Soaring with Responsibility” Certificate to be displayed in their classrooms. Outside the library, the “Soaring with Responsibility” bulletin board recognizes those classes with 100% book returns. I hope I can recognize every class every month for their character. If you are interested in volunteering at the library please contact
the library at 452.4413. Sincerely,
Since the beginning of the school year, parents have inquired about the Middlebrook School Book Club. This club is for anyone who wishes to donate a new book to the library in honor of another person. If you would like more information about this program please click on the links below.
Book Selection and Borrowing Policy Students will be utilizing the library in a variety of ways. Classes will take advantage of the library's resources and space to work on curriculum related projects. Each week, students will visit the library for 15 minutes to select books.
